Market Researcher

Market Researcher Job Description

Market researchers conduct research to determine the level of demand for a product or service, which audiences are likely to buy those items, and at what price. Their various research techniques include conducting surveys, one-on-one interviews and focus groups to help guide brand strategy. This role requires strong analytical, writing and presentation skills; a marketing background; and an understanding of data analysis software. An MBA is a plus.

Typical market researcher duties:

Analyzing a company’s demographics and monitoring competitors’ activities and market conditionsWorking closely with brand/product managers to help assess customer needs and new product opportunitiesConsolidating market research findings in detailed reports or presentations and sharing information with stakeholders
