Human Resources (HR) Manager Job Description

Human Resources (HR) Managers are responsible for overseeing and directing all human resources functions within Canadian organizations. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of Canadian employment law. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support the company’s overall business objectives.

Key Human Resources (HR) manager duties:

Develop and implement HR strategies and policies aligned with the company’s business goals. Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent. Manage employee relations, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives. Develop and administer compensation and benefits programs in compliance with Canadian labor laws. Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and territorial employment regulations. Manage HR operations, including payroll, time and attendance, and HRIS systems. Conduct workforce planning and succession planning to meet organizational needs. Provide HR consulting and support to managers and employees.
