The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, ensuring application services are secure, reliable and aligned with global enterprise standards.</p><p>This position plays a critical role in aligning regional initiatives with global IT strategy, driving operational excellence, governance and compliance across the UK portfolio.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee day-to-day regional application operations, ensuring service reliability and alignment with enterprise standards</li><li>Monitor system uptime, performance and SLA adherence</li><li>Lead regional incident response and escalation management, collaborating with global IT teams where required</li><li>Partner with business leaders, system owners and end users to gather requirements, conduct feasibility assessments and develop value-driven business cases</li><li>Implement global enterprise systems and technology standards across UK operations</li><li>Drive a culture of customer service, accountability and continuous improvement</li><li>Ensure corporate controls and compliance measures are implemented across all UK sites</li><li>Work closely with Information Security teams to assess risks and implement mitigation strategies</li><li>Lead or support regional technology rollouts, upgrades and process improvements</li><li>Manage relationships with vendors, service providers and contractors, ensuring performance and contractual compliance</li><li>Contribute to IT budgeting, forecasting and cost optimisation initiatives</li><li>Report application metrics, risks and opportunities to senior leadership</li><li>Act as the on-site IT Business Partner to the UK Leadership Team</li></ul><p><strong>Candidate Profile</strong></p><p><strong>Experience & Education</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 8 years' progressive IT experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or regional management capacity</li><li>Proven track record in application service delivery, portfolio management and team leadership</li></ul><p><strong>Technical Expertise</strong></p><ul><li>Strong knowledge/ background in enterprise applications, cloud technologies and integrations for example Microsoft 365, ERP platforms, CRM, Salesforce</li><li>Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks</li><li>Experience leading technology projects and managing third-party vendors</li></ul><p><strong>Personal Attributes</strong></p><ul><li>Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills</li><li>Commercially aware and solutions-oriented</li><li>Proactive, with the ability to identify risks and deliver scalable outcomes</li><li>Comfortable operating in a matrixed, global environment</li></ul><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
