<p><strong>Network & Systems Engineer - Real Estate/ Construction - London</strong></p><p><strong>£65,000-£77,000 + Discretionary Bonus & Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>The Business</strong></p><p>Our client is a well-established London based construction firm delivering high-quality new build, refurbishment and fit-out projects ranging from £1m-£60m. Its client portfolio includes globally recognised brands and international recognised prestigious institutions.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>Part of a small team of 3, the Network & Systems Administrator will take ownership of the day-to-day operation, security and continuous improvement of the company's IT infrastructure.</p><p>This is a hands-on technical role supporting both head office and live construction sites. Reporting to the IT Director, the successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, third-party suppliers and consultants to ensure systems are secure, reliable and scalable.</p><p>The role requires a strong technical foundation, a proactive mindset and the ability to balance infrastructure leadership with high-level technical support.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Network & Infrastructure</p><ul><li>Implement, manage and support Fortinet solutions including FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and FortiClient VPN</li><li>Manage firewall policies, SD-WAN, VPNs (site-to-site and client), and network segmentation</li></ul><p>Systems & Cloud</p><ul><li>Administer Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and file services</li><li>Support virtualised environments</li><li>Assist with Azure resource administration</li></ul><p>Cyber Security & Best Practice</p><p>IT Operations support assistance</p><p><strong>Skills & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience as a Network / Systems Administrator or similar role</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet products, particularly FortiGate firewalls and VPNs</li><li>Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalling)</li><li>Strong understanding of cyber security fundamentals and best practice</li><li>Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments</li><li>Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Hyper-V or Vmware and Active Directory</li><li>Experience delivering 3rd line support in a business environment</li></ul><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a growing, evolving infrastructure environment within a highly respected London construction firm.
