What’s your current position? How long have you been in this position? Can you give me a brief overview of what it is you do in your work?
I am currently a Divisional Manager based in Birmingham, West Midlands. I have been with Robert Half for five years and in this position for three years now. I am responsible for the growing my candidate and clients contacts within the area, placing finance and accounting professionals on a permanent basis, developing others in my team and ensuring I contribute to the overall success of this branch.
How would you describe the corporate culture of Robert Half?
Robert Half are a corporate organisation that are very welcoming. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Robert Half. I have had the joy of working with fantastic people with so much knowledge and success. If I had to choose a word, I would say ‘rewarding’ -- I have had the pleasure of attending large events where my success has been celebrated with other colleagues.
What leadership training and support did you receive?
I have been involved in several training programmes, from training on our new systems, to training with senior leadership in the organisation. To help improve my day-to-day responsibilities our training includes brown bag sessions to large group training sessions where we do role plays and activities which I find useful for how I learn.
What impact does effective teamwork have on the success of your role?
Teamwork is so important to me. I love working with my team and fellow colleagues to collaborate and bring new ideas to the table. I am confident that working together strengthens relationships, brings more business to the table and adds lots of fun to the day-to-day role.
What was your happiest moment at work and why?
I was extremely happy when I was promoted to Divisional Manager, all the hard work was recognised, and I was very happy in my role. Most recently I hit my $1 Million Dollar milestone and my 5-year anniversary -- is a massive achievement for me and I was very happy for all the recognition and support.
