    Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will support the financial reporting processes, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, consolidation accounting, and contributing to the preparation of the Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD& A). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technical accounting, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.


    Key Responsibilities


    Month-End & Year-End Close

    • Prepare and review monthly and year-end journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial close processes.
    • Reconcile balance sheet and profit & loss accounts and monitor variances.
    • Analyze financial performance data and provide insights to management.

    Financial Reporting

    • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with ASPE
    • Contribute to the drafting and coordination of the quarterly Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD& A) to explain financial results and business performance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data for reporting purposes.

    Consolidation Accounting

    • Conduct the consolidation of multiple entities, including foreign currency translations and intercompany eliminations.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and reporting standards in consolidation practices.
    • Address intercompany reconciliation issues and resolve discrepancies.

    Audit Support

    • Coordinate with external auditors to provide audit schedules, supporting documentation, and answers to inquiries.

    Compliance & Technical Accounting

    • Monitor evolving accounting standards and assist with the implementation of new accounting policies when required.

    Process Improvements

    • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in financial reporting and consolidation processes.
    • Assist in implementing automation tools and strengthening reporting workflows.




    • Education: CPA designation is required
    • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience, with a strong background in financial reporting, consolidation accounting, and the preparation of MD& A.
    • Technical Knowledge:
    • Expertise in ASPE reporting requirements.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
    • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple deadlines.
