Part of the management team, directors of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical and communication skills. This position generally requires at least 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, and public accounting experience is highly valued. A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a designation such as the Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
