Do not report to work if you are on an assignment or project. Contact your local Robert Half office or talent solutions professional right away to let them know that you have tested positive for COVID-19. Call Customer Service at 1.855.744.6947 to find out if you are entitled to any sick pay.
Please follow the public health guidance in your province, the client’s protocol and direction, and call your local Robert Half office or talent solutions professional.
Your health and wellbeing are of the utmost importance. Contact your local Robert Half office or talent solutions professional if you are unwell. Do not report to work, or if you are at work, go home immediately. Seek medical attention as soon as possible, and review your province’s guidelines for COVID-19 testing.
If you are diagnosed with COVID-19, follow the public health guidance in your province, contact your local Robert Half office or talent solutions professional right away to let them know you are unwell. Call Customer Service at 1.855.744.6947 to find out if you have available hours to use for sick pay. Your talent solutions professional will inform the client about your availability and when you are able to return to work.
Contact your local Robert Half office or talent solutions professional right away and let them know the client has decided to close their office(s) for a period of time. Your talent solutions professional will work with the client to determine if your work can be done remotely and if you can do so. If remote working is not possible, your assignment or project may end; often this is at the client’s discretion. We will do our best to find another opportunity for you to continue working.
If you are on active assignment and become ill due to COVID-19, please contact Customer Service at 1.888.744.9202 regarding your available hours for sick pay.
Explore if you have alternate childcare options. If none are available, contact your local Robert Half office or talent solutions professional, and they can work with the client to determine what accommodation may be available.
If a business trip requires you to travel well beyond your regular daily commute, or requires air travel, an overnight stay or extended travel on mass-transit, please contact your local Robert Half office or talent solutions professional. We will work with the client regarding any concerns you may have.
If you travelled to a country outside of Canada, please follow government and public health guidance.
If you’ve recently visited a country or area under travel restriction from the Public Health Agency of Canada and World Health Organization, contact your Robert Half office or Talent Solutions Professional for further guidance before returning to work.
Please refer to and follow the COVID-19 prevention guidelines outlined on the Public Health Agency of Canada’s site, which advises measures such as:
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
Stay home when you are sick.
Cover your cough or sneeze by either sneezing into your elbow or with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
We strongly encourage you to sign up for direct deposit and electronic pay stubs in our Time Reporting and Approval system to help expedite payroll processing (excludes Independent Contractors).
