Prioritize mental health and well-being
Beyond flexible schedules, supporting employees' mental health and well-being is crucial for employee retention. This is especially true for certain employee groups who are feeling the strain more than others—including Gen Z (39%) and Millennial (40%) professionals, working parents (38%) and those at small to midsize businesses (37%).
Regularly checking in with employees, encouraging the use of mental health days and fostering an open dialogue about stress and burnout are essential steps to creating a supportive work environment. Simple initiatives like organizing mindfulness sessions, promoting physical activity, or even offering workshops on stress management can significantly improve employee well-being, leading to a more engaged and committed workforce.
