We are looking for an experienced IT Security Analyst to join our team in Edgewood, Maryland. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our infrastructure and ensuring the security of on-premise, IaaS, and cloud systems. This position offers the opportunity to design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge security solutions while proactively managing system performance and stability.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and support both on-premise and cloud infrastructure, including networks, firewalls, virtual and physical servers, and cloud platforms.
• Perform regular maintenance and configuration tasks to ensure effective backup and disaster recovery processes.
• Administer and optimize firewalls, including Meraki and Palo Alto, along with other security tools.
• Monitor system performance, stability, and capacity across on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring proactive issue resolution.
• Analyze network traffic and identify potential security threats using advanced monitoring and vulnerability management tools.
• Develop and enforce multi-layered security strategies to protect sensitive information and assets.
• Implement and maintain security controls such as data loss prevention, event correlation, and vulnerability management.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.
• Collaborate with teams to improve and refine security processes and protocols.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to enhance system security.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security or related roles.
• Proficiency in firewall technologies such as Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and Meraki.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco technologies and cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management and cybersecurity tools.
• Ability to analyze network traffic and manage vulnerability assessment tools.
• Familiarity with data loss prevention, event correlation, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Solid understanding of auditing processes and cybersecurity compliance.
• Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
