    Robert Half is searching for an Sr. Systems Administrator / IT Manager who can support a local law firm based in Seattle, WA. This candidate will be responsible for providing escalated support to Tier 2 and 3 issues and take ownership on systems and network infrastructure in a small to mid-size environment. This position is a 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity that is 100% Onsite.


    Position Overview:

    • Employment Type: Contract-to-hire (6 months to start)
    • Location: 100% onsite in Seattle, WA
    • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide end-user technical support, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
    • Assist in planning and implementing infrastructure upgrades, patches, and performance enhancements.
    • Provide ownership support to the current IT Director, addressing ad-hoc, escalated level issues.
    • Offer administrative level expertise in Microsoft 365 related tickets, strengthening user access to products within this suite.
    • Manage and support core IT infrastructure, including networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, routers) and systems (Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, backups, storage).
    • Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise network environments, ensuring uptime, performance, and security across all endpoints.
    • Administer and support server infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, file services, and virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
    • Monitor system and network health, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize disruptions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure supports business needs and application demands.
    • Provide technical leadership on assigned projects and assist junior team members with troubleshooting and guidance.
    • Ensure documentation of infrastructure systems, procedures, and configurations is accurate and up to date.
    • Monitor and manage the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation.
    • Support virtualized environments using Citrix, Azure, VMware, and Hyper-V.
    • Administer Windows 11 and Microsoft 365, ensuring smooth system operations.
    • Manage Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO) to control user access and security settings.
    • Perform maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting on Windows Server.
    • Assist in strengthening network security, including user access management and threat mitigation.
    • 3-4 years of experience in Sr. Systems Administrator/ IT Manager position, including Systems & Administration responsibilities.
    • Serve as backup to the IT Manager, prioritize issues, and support critical escalated instances.
    • Hands-on experience working with virtual machines (Citrix, Azure, VMware, Hyper-V).
    • Strong proficiency in Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 administration.
    • Experience with Active Directory and GPO management.
    • Windows Server 2016-2022 – advanced administration experience
    • Advanced networking – IP, VPN, Subnets, etc.
    • Advanced security knowledge – anti-virus, etc.
