    Operations Support Specialist – Gaming Development Lab

    We are seeking an Operations Support Specialist to maintain and support the development environment for gaming systems. This role requires a self-sufficient problem solver who can prioritize tasks, troubleshoot issues, document processes, and communicate effectively.


    Work Location: On-site in Redmond, WA, 5 days a week


    Key Responsibilities

    • DRI (Designated Responsible Individual) – Work independently, scope simple projects, and set priorities for other team members. This role includes an on-call requirement and requires strong communication and documentation skills.
    • Incident Management & Support – Monitor and triage support requests, engage with customers professionally, troubleshoot IT infrastructure issues, document resolutions, and ensure SLAs are met.
    • Infrastructure Deployment & Maintenance – Deploy, configure, relocate, and decommission hardware (servers, racks, cabling). Perform system administration using PowerShell and ensure security compliance. Conduct routine lab checks for infrastructure issues.
    • Asset & Inventory Management – Track and update hardware inventory, manage asset lifecycle (renames, relocations, decommissions), and ensure metadata accuracy.


    Required Experience & Skills

    • 4+ years in IT support, incident management, and troubleshooting (Windows Server/Desktop).
    • 4+ years in IT operations, including hardware deployment, OS configuration, and security compliance (A+, CCENT, Windows Server Hybrid Admin certs preferred).
    • 4+ years managing IT assets using datasheets/relational databases.
    • Proficiency in IT infrastructure, networking basics, PowerShell scripting, and professional written communication.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
    • Ability to perform repetitive lifting and moving of items up to 10 lbs.
    • Ability to work in a datacenter/lab environment, including standing for extended periods, cabling above 6 feet, and working at ground level.
    • Ability to use basic hand tools for installing shelves, switches, servers, and other infrastructure equipment.
    • Work may involve exposure to elevated noise levels, requiring hearing protection.
