    Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an Interim Assistant Controller for our client, a leading construction materials company based in the Salt Lake Metro area. This is a full-time contract role, and the ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the day-to-day month-end close process.


    Requirements:

    • Execute precise and timely month-end close activities.

    • Take full ownership of the company's balance sheet.

    • Generate financial reports and assist in compiling a thorough financial reporting package.

    • Uphold SOX compliance and manage associated documentation.

    • Conduct detailed employee benefit reconciliations.

    • Manage prepaids and execute accurate recording in the company's accounts.

    • Implement comprehensive inventory accounting procedures.

    • Intercompany reconciliations.

    • Oversee the company's fixed assets, including diligent asset tracking.

    • Utilize your prior experience with multiple locations and divisions to enhance and unify financial practices.

    • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

    • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction or a related industry.

    • Strong understanding and experience with SOX compliance.

    • Skills in prepaids management, inventory accounting, and asset tracking.

    • Experience concerning balance sheet ownership and employee benefit reconciliations.

    • Ability to oversee and coordinate financial operations across multiple company locations and divisions.

    • Experience in creating financial reports.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Proficiency with standard financial software and tools – experience with NetSuite is a plus.

    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

This role will be situated in Provo, Utah and will involve a focus on IT equipment logistics, including shipping and receiving tasks.
