    About the Role

    We are seeking motivated and customer-focused Leasing Specialists to join our dynamic team for contract and contract-to-hire opportunities. As a Leasing Specialist, you will be responsible for marketing and leasing residential properties, ensuring high occupancy rates, and delivering outstanding customer service to prospective and current residents. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to create positive relationships with clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct tours of properties for prospective residents, highlighting features and amenities.
    • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing detailed information about available units.
    • Negotiate lease terms and prepare lease agreements in compliance with local regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, applications, and resident communications.
    • Collaborate with property management team to ensure units are move-in ready.
    • Market properties through online platforms, social media, and community outreach.
    • Stay updated on market trends and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
    • Address resident concerns and provide exceptional customer service to enhance resident satisfaction.


    Qualifications

    Required Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in leasing, real estate, sales, or customer service.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales or leasing targets.
    • Experience using property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, or similar).
    • Familiarity with local, state, and federal fair housing laws and regulations.

    Preferred Certifications

    • National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP): Offered by the National Apartment Association, this certification demonstrates expertise in leasing and customer service in the multifamily housing industry.
    • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM): A certification from the National Apartment Association that showcases skills in property management and leasing operations.
    • Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS): A certification that demonstrates expertise in affordable housing programs, compliance, and occupancy regulations, often required for properties with HUD or tax credit programs.
    • Fair Housing Compliance (FHC): Certification ensuring knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations, often provided through local real estate boards or online training platforms.
    • Real Estate License: A valid state real estate license may be required or preferred, depending on state regulations for leasing activities.
