We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in the higher education industry for a Desktop Support Analyst based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a Desktop Support Analyst, you will be primarily involved in the deployment and installation of new devices, along with maintaining interaction with users.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the deployment of new devices efficiently
• Handle the task of imaging as part of the device deployment process
• Engage in the replacement of existing devices as required
• Install new devices as part of the overall deployment procedure
• Maintain detail oriented interaction with users including, but not limited to, nurses, doctors, etc.
• Ensure the smooth operation of Microsoft Windows on the deployed devices.
• Applicants must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role or similar.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows is a mandatory requirement for this position.
• Candidates should have a strong understanding of the higher education industry.
• Ability to diagnose and rectify desktop issues, including hardware and software problems.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
• Experience in providing remote desktop support is preferred.
• Knowledge of network protocols, routing, and network software installation is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion is essential.
• A relevant degree or technical qualification is desirable.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices would be advantageous.
• Candidates should possess strong customer service skills.
