    We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager (Public Accounting) based in the Omaha, Nebraska area. The role involves working as a key leader of the Tax department where you will be in charge of managing tax returns, conducting research, and maintaining strong client relationships.


    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive research and prepare detailed research memos.

    • Oversee and manage the accurate preparation of various tax returns.

    • Apply your knowledge of GAAP and client financial statements to tax preparation.

    • Handle and resolve technically advanced tax issues, making suggestions for improvements.

    • Represent clients with IRS, State or local tax compliance matters.

    • Review the work of staff members and provide necessary guidance.

    • Utilize your advanced computer literacy to work with relevant software programs.

    • Maintain and enhance client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.

    • Identify opportunities for service expansion to clients and cultivate new client relationships through networking and referrals.

    • Stay updated on technical matters through self-study and training.

    • Ensure adherence to all procedures and policies.

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field required

    • CPA license strongly preferred, but equivalent experience in Public Accounting will be considered

    • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax accounting role within Public Accounting industry

    • Most possess prior supervisory experience directly overseeing tax staff

    • Experience with UltraTax tax software would be a plus, but not required

    • Knowledge of Federal Tax, Federal Tax Return, Federal Income Tax, and Federal Income Tax Return

    • Ability to conduct Income Tax Audits and ensure Income Tax Compliance

    • Knowledge of Indirect Tax and Indirect Tax Compliance

    • Familiarity with Local Taxes, Local Tax regulations and filings
