    Job Responsibilities:

    • Assess Azure Security Configuration: Conduct a thorough review of the current Azure security setup, identifying potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
    • Recommend Security Enhancements: Provide actionable recommendations to strengthen security, including optimizing access controls, configurations, and governance policies to mitigate risks.
    • Collaborate with Hiring Manager: Lead and participate in regular Teams or Webex meetings with the hiring manager to discuss project progress, security needs, and the implementation of recommended improvements.
    • Improve Security Score: Drive efforts to enhance the Azure security score by implementing security best practices, applying necessary changes, and monitoring progress to ensure continuous improvement. 

     


    • Expertise in managing and securing Azure cloud environments using tools like Azure Security Center and Defender for Cloud.
    • Ability to enable or disable security features in Azure based on best practice recommendations to strengthen security.
    • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including IAM, network security, and compliance.
    • Experience working as a consultant in a short-term engagement
    • Strong communication skills at a consultant level, engaging with a VP of Technology
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field or role
