    Financial Services Company in Houston is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Finance to lead our financial operations and strategy. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and English and possess extensive knowledge of U.S. banking laws, regulatory reporting requirements, and financial markets. This role requires expertise in tax planning, macro and microeconomic principles, and a deep understanding of the federal funds market.

    VP of Finance Responsibilities:

    • Oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. banking laws and regulatory reporting requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act, Reg D, Reg CC, Reg YY, and Texas asset pledge requirements.
    • Prepare and review regulatory reports such as Call Reports, BC, BQ, and BL, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Manage third-party risk assessments in accordance with FFIEC guidelines.
    • Monitor and analyze financial market trends, focusing on the federal funds market, to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Develop and implement advanced tax planning strategies, including NEC and EC reporting requirements.
    • Utilize macro and microeconomic principles to evaluate financial risks and opportunities, providing insights for long-term strategic planning.
    • Collaborate with leadership to align financial strategy with organizational goals.
    • Lead the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

    VP of Finance Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree or CPA designation is preferred.
    • Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
    • Extensive knowledge of U.S. banking laws, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements.
    • In-depth understanding of financial markets, particularly the federal funds market.
    • Intermediate knowledge of macro and microeconomic principles and their applications.
    • Advanced expertise in tax planning and reporting, with emphasis on NEC and EC regulations.
    • Proven leadership experience in finance, with a strong track record of managing teams and driving results.
    • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
