    We are offering an opportunity for an Application Engineer in the technology industry, situated in COMSTOCK PARK, Michigan. The role involves working with both manual and CNC CMM's and scanners to collect 3D scan data for part measurement and comparison to CAD models. The candidate will also be involved in the first article inspection and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).


    Responsibilities:


    • Operating manual and CNC CMM's and scanners to obtain 3D scan data

    • Comparing the obtained 3D scan data to CAD models for part measurement

    • Conducting first article inspection procedures

    • Participating in the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

    • Utilizing software packages such as Polyworks in a 3D environment

    • Collaborating with team members to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently

    • Interacting with company customers

    • Assisting in the sales process as required

    • Striving to improve skills in CAD Software, CMM Programming, SolidWorks, Scanning Equipment, 3D Printing, and Metrology.

    • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position

    • Proficiency in CAD Software is required

    • Experience with CMM Programming is necessary

    • Must have hands-on experience with SolidWorks

    • Familiarity with Scanning Equipment is essential

    • Knowledge and experience in 3D Printing is a must

    • Experience in Metrology is preferred

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
