    Robert Half is seeking a Legal Researcher & Writer to research, write, and summarize content on legal topics for new state and/or national legal encyclopedia products.

     

    Project information:

     

    • Start: April 2025
    • Duration: 1 Year
    • Pay:  $28/hour
    • Location: Remote
    • Hours: 40 hours per week

     

    Responsibilities include:


    • Conduct in-depth research and write (summarize) on legal topics in an encyclopedia-type format
    • Draft clear and concise summaries, analyses, and explanations of legal concepts and principles
    • Collaborate with Editorial and Product stakeholders throughout the writing and review process
    • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and editorial standards
    • Meet project deadlines and maintain open communication with the team
    • Participate in occasional phone meetings and teleconferences as requested

     

    Requirements:

     

    • JD required
    • 1+ years previous legal research and writing
    • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading abilities
    • Familiarity with legal research databases and resources
    • Ability to work collaboratively across practice areas and topics
    • Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Required Skills:
    • Legal Knowledge: Understanding of legal principles, terminology, and research methods
    • Ability to complete complex legal research across multiple jurisdictions and practice areas
    • Writing Proficiency: Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to write in a clear, concise, and persuasive style
    • Proficiency in legal citation and formatting styles
    • Proficiency in using technology for research, writing, and project management
    • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal teams
    • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively
