  • <p>We are looking for a skilled RTU Systems Engineer to contribute to automation and control system development in the machinery manufacturing industry. This long-term contract position is based in Golden, Colorado, and offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving control logic optimization, device programming, and scalable automation frameworks. Candidates will play a key role in transitioning existing systems to advanced edge-based automation solutions.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Convert existing control logic from traditional systems to advanced edge-based automation for plunger-lift operations.</p><p>• Optimize Modbus data mapping and handling to enhance well performance and system efficiency.</p><p>• Develop reusable logic templates and standardized configurations to support scalable deployments.</p><p>• Program, configure, and test RTUs and edge devices for new installations, ensuring seamless operation.</p><p>• Diagnose and resolve integration issues across remote terminal units, control systems, and field devices.</p><p>• Establish best practices for efficient data handling and structure datapoints to support future SaaS applications.</p><p>• Create detailed documentation and commissioning guides to facilitate scaling automation to thousands of wells.</p><p>• Verify end-to-end system functionality, including sensors, communication protocols, alarms, and controls.</p><p>• Support efforts to transition toward edge-only automation systems where applicable.</p>
