    Robert Half has partnered with a government contractor in search of an Assistant Controller! The Assistant Controller position is paying $100,000-$115,000!


    The Assistant Controller will be responsible for the following:

    • Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions, including month-end close
    • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results, and preparation of monthly accounting reports
    • Coordinating and preparing internal financial statements, including ad-hoc
    • Assessing current accounting operations and offering recommendations for improvement
    • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
    • Assisting in the oversight of regulatory reporting
    • Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff
    • Must be able to work harmoniously with both employees and other management personnel
    • Analyze and explain variances from annual budgets
    • Coordinate external audits with outside independent auditors and regulatory agencies (DCAA), in conjunction with the CFO, and oversee preparation of required items

    Requirements for the Assistant Controller include:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 8+ years of accounting experience
    • Government contractor experience
    • Experience being an Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager before

    Preferred qualifications for the Assistant Controller include:

    • DCAA or FAR experience
