    Robert Half is seeking a Proofreader for a local client in Oklahoma City. This is a 100% onsite position with a Monday–Friday schedule. The role starts at $19/hour with potential for a raise and bonus upon full-time conversion after a 90-day temp-to-hire period. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented and has a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and formatting.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review and proofread reports and documents for grammar, punctuation, consistency, and formatting
    • Ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to internal writing standards
    • Communicate with internal teams to clarify content and resolve discrepancies
    • Edit and revise written materials while maintaining the original intent and tone
    • Meet deadlines while managing multiple assignments efficiently




    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in proofreading, editing, or content review
    • Excellent command of English language, grammar, and writing mechanics
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies or errors
    • Comfortable using digital tools such as Google Earth and GIS (helpful but not required)
    • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
    • Effective team player with strong communication skills
    • Flexible schedule to accommodate deadline-driven projects

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Background in publishing, communications, technical writing, or related field preferred

    Additional Requirements:

    • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English fluently
    • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
    • Visual acuity sufficient to read printed and digital materials for extended periods
