    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leadership & Oversight: Lead and manage the paralegal support function, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, utilization, and professional development.
    • Orientation & Training: Coordinate and participate in the orientation and onboarding of new paralegals, ensuring they receive appropriate training and access to essential resources.
    • Employee Relations: Handle performance management, employee relations issues, counseling, and career coaching for paralegals in collaboration with Human Resources.
    • Performance Evaluations: Lead and manage the performance evaluation process, including soliciting lawyer feedback, reviewing evaluations, and conducting annual performance reviews with supervisees.
    • Engagement with Attorneys: Actively engage with practice groups and individual lawyers to understand their needs and the skills of the paralegals, ensuring high-quality legal work and efficient support is provided.
    • Workflow Management: Manage paralegal workflow, capacity, utilization, and assignments to enable timely and efficient attorney support.
    • Time Management Approvals: Approve employee PTO requests and timesheets via the Time and Attendance System.
    • General Management Duties: Participate in additional projects or provide supplemental support to Practice Group Directors as assigned.




    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant work experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal.
    • At least 3 years of experience managing a large team of paralegals or other timekeeping professionals, preferably across multiple offices and practice areas.
    • Proven financial acumen, with proficiency in productivity metrics within a billable or professional services environment.
    • Strong, well-developed employee relations and conflict resolution skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills combined with strong analytical ability.
    • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, exercise sound judgment, and recognize when to escalate matters to management.
    • Highly resourceful and organized with a professional and ethical demeanor.
    • Adept at maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive matters with discretion.
    • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities with the foresight to address complex problems effectively.
