    This Manual QA Software Test Analyst will be required to work on-site in Tampa 3 days per week, and 2 days remote per week. This role will be a full time position on a contract to permanent hire arrangement.


    We are looking for a versatile and cross-function manual Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join a smaller IT team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will focus on ensuring that software solutions meet the highest standards of quality through comprehensive manual testing and detailed validation processes. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position within the transport industry, offering the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the development of reliable and user-friendly software.


    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements.

    • Conduct manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing, to identify defects and ensure software reliability.

    • Document and track software issues using bug-tracking tools, collaborating with developers to resolve defects.

    • Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with quality standards.

    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test procedures, results, and findings to support quality assurance processes.

    • Identify and recommend improvements to testing methodologies and quality assurance practices.

    • Validate software for usability, performance, and functionality to ensure it meets user expectations.

    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or manual testing.
    • Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
    • Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.
    • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and testing frameworks.
    • Knowledge of test case management tools like TestRail or Zephyr.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with excellent attention to detail.
    • Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
