We are offering a consulting opportunity for a part-time Project Manager/HR Benefits in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The role involves supporting the Benefits team by managing a range of HR initiatives. The successful candidate will be tasked with project management duties, including the execution, planning, and closeout of projects to ensure timely achievement of planned results.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring milestones and schedules are tracked accurately, taking into account status, dependencies, achievements, and risks/issues.
• Provide project management support and guidance, delivering project status reports and other relevant materials to the project team, external stakeholders, internal stakeholders, and leadership.
• Lead the RFP Process, including vendor selection, partnering with legal on contract negotiations, and transition planning.
• Collaborate with the communication and change management teams to develop content and strategies that enhance employee engagement and adoption.
• Contribute to the project by undertaking some subject matter expert tasks, such as drafting initial passes on communications or presentations.
• Drive projects such as our claims platform migration, medical benefit redesign initiative, RFP/RFI, and implementation of new vendors and other key priorities.
• Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking appropriate action as needed.
• Organize function and project activities that may require cross-functional meetings, collaboration, and communication.
• Support the team by participating in the completion of some foundational subject matter expert work.
• 5+ years in Project Management
• Proven experience in planning, executing, and completing projects on time and within budget
• Knowledge of materials handling in the context of HR benefits
• Strong background in Human Resources (HR) Administration, particularly in benefits administration
• Solid understanding and experience in project management methodologies
• Ability to deliver effective presentations to various stakeholders
• Familiarity with 'About Time' software or similar project management tools
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical coverage and other HR benefits
• Ability to lead benefit functions and oversee their successful implementation
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire a team
• Experience in vendor management and claim administration
• Proven track record of successful project implementation
• Ability to effectively engage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
• Experience in system integration and migration projects
• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies
• Experience in healthcare.gov projects is a plus
• Strong skills in change management and decision-making
• Ability to draft clear and concise reports and project documentation
• Experience in setting and tracking project milestones
• Ability to serve as a subject matter expert in HR benefits
• Experience in providing regular project status updates to stakeholders.
