We are seeking a Full-Time Engagement Professional to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will use your expertise in accounting and finance to assist with interim work and business-critical projects. This role is a fixed-term employment opportunity with long-term prospects in the industry.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with full-cycle accounting tasks, such as month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and AP/AR management.
• Handle fixed asset management, including the creation and maintenance of depreciation schedules.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide ad-hoc reporting as needed.
• Participate in budget preparation and financial statement preparation.
• Assist with audit support and compliance support, including implementing changes in professional standards like ASC 842 Lease Accounting, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, etc.
• Document and improve procedures, policies, and processes.
• Manage grants and perform cost accounting tasks.
• Develop financial models and data visualizations for better business understanding and decision making.
• Implement ERP systems and manage their regular updates and maintenance.
• Utilize accounting software systems for efficient management of accounting functions.
• Conduct risk assessment and ensure adherence to SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines.
• Use Microsoft Excel for data modeling and analysis.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience in Auditing
• Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP
