We are providing an opportunity for a Computer Operator II in New York, New York, 10036, United States. This role involves operating computers and computer-related equipment, handling central console or online terminals for data processing, and maintaining system consoles.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently operate computers and associated devices
• Handle central console or online terminals for data processing tasks
• Maintain and monitor system consoles regularly
• Execute preventive maintenance on peripheral equipment
• Troubleshoot simple technical issues
• Maintain logs concerning machine utilization, reruns, and completed production work
• Perform regular system backups as required
• Conduct diagnostic tests to detect machine malfunctions
• Train others and serve in a lead role when necessary
• Liaise with supervisors and functional peer groups on a daily basis
• Proficient in Communication: Must be able to effectively articulate ideas and information to colleagues and clients.
• Mastery of Office Functions: Able to manage and organize various office tasks efficiently.
• Experience in Training: Should have the ability to train others on new systems and procedures.
• Skilled in Presentations: Must be confident in delivering presentations to various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of 'About Time' software: Familiarity with this time tracking software is required.
• Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Understanding of Production: Knowledge of production processes and quality control is essential.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Must be able to identify and resolve technical problems.
• Liaison Capabilities: The ability to act as a liaison between different departments or organizations.
• Familiarity with Payroll Functions: Experience in payroll processing is a plus.
• Willingness to Travel: The role may require occasional travel.
• Ability to Answer Queries: Must be able to provide prompt and accurate responses to queries.
• Experience in Deskside Support: Should be able to provide technical support to end users.
• Knowledge of Conductivity: Familiarity with the principles of conductivity is a plus.
• Ability to Execute Tasks: Must be able to carry out tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain Logs: Should be able to keep accurate records of all activities.
• Experience in Migration: Familiarity with data migration processes is a plus.
• Knowledge of HIPAA Regulations: Must understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Proficiency in Windows OS: Must be familiar with the operation and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems.
• Due Diligence: Must carry out all tasks with thoroughness and care.
• Understanding of Backup Technologies: Knowledge of various backup technologies and their applications is required.
• Experience in Deployments: Familiarity with software and hardware deployment processes.
• Knowledge of Desktop Hardware: Must be able to troubleshoot and repair desktop hardware.
• Understanding of Commission Functions: Knowledge of commission structures and calculations is a plus.
• Familiarity with Laptop Hardware: Should be able to troubleshoot and repair laptop hardware.
