Position: Vice President of Human Resources
The Vice President of Human Resources (HR) provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR operations in a shared services environment reporting directly to the Senior Managing Director. The Vice President is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of fifteen HR staff
• Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management-level HR staff.
• Oversees the daily workflow of the HR department.
• Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management.
• Identifies key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent
management functions; assesses the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
• Serve as HRIS administrator, managing system administration, reporting, payroll and benefits administration.
• Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
• Leads training and development programs for the organization and the clients it serves.
• Assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
• Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human
resources, benefits administration and talent management.
• Prepares and monitors the organization’s payroll and benefits budget, and the budget for the human resource department.
• Responsible for office administration, employee events and management of the volunteer committee.
• Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in HR with graduate degree highly preferred
HR certification required
Real estate industry preferred
Strong strategic experience with a large growing company 5+ years, minimum 10 years total experience
Strong leadership of a large HR team
Strategic Planning, Succession Planning, Recruitment - Executive, Recruitment - Sourcing, Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A), Labor Law, Internal Communications, Health Insurance, HR Compliance, HR Policy, Benefits Administration
