We are offering a temp to hire opportunity for a Staff Accountant located in Walnut Creek, California. As a Staff Accountant, you will be primarily involved in handling corporate tax and fixed assets, maintaining the general ledger, and undertaking account reconciliation tasks.
This is a hybrid position offering three remote days per week.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications and maintain customer credit records.
• Undertake data analysis from the Fixed Assets register into Excel, requiring proficiency in X & V look-ups, Sum ifs, etc.
• Evaluate system data and tax data to ascertain the necessity for adjustments, and if required, perform the journal entry adjustments into the accounting software systems.
• Ensure accurate tax filings and related journals, including income tax, in-pats tax, and fixed assets taxes.
• Participate in the month-end reconciliations of income tax.
• Prepare tax filings, ensuring compliance and correct booking.
• Manage correspondence with government agencies.
• Continuously maintain and update the general ledger.
• Perform account reconciliation tasks and prepare journal entries.
• Collaborate with the accounting team, showcasing an analytical mind and a keen attitude to learn and grow.
• Familiarity with ERP Solutions is a required skill for this position.
• Understanding and experience in Accrual Accounting is a key requirement.
• Prior experience in Auditing is essential for this role.
• Ability to manage and maintain General Ledger is a crucial requirement.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a must for this role.
• Experience in making Journal Entries is necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a key requirement for this position.
