Robert Half, a recognized leader in specialized staffing solutions, is seeking a Loan Processor for a contract assignment with a well-established financial institution located in Wallingford, CT. This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented, client-focused professionals with mortgage or finance operations experience to contribute to a dynamic team in the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare loan applications for underwriting, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collect and review financial documents from applicants, such as income verification, credit reports, and asset statements.
- Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, and other stakeholders to obtain missing information or resolve discrepancies.
- Verify application data against federal, state, and institutional lending guidelines.
- Maintain thorough and accurate loan files and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Track and monitor the progress of loans from application through closing.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Prior experience working as a loan processor, loan officer assistant, or in a similar role in the mortgage or banking industry.
- Familiarity with mortgage loan products, guidelines, and processing platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in loan origination and processing software systems (experience with Encompass, Calyx, or similar platforms is a plus).
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in loan processing or related financial services roles.
- Certification: Knowledge of federal and state loan compliance regulations is a plus but not required.

- Location: Wallingford, CT (on-site position).
- Duration: Contract assignment (with potential for extension or permanent placement).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday.
