We are in the process of recruiting an Office Assistant for our client in St. Rose, Louisiana. This role offers a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity in the insurance industry. As an Office Assistant, you will be entrusted with a variety of administrative tasks that support the team and contribute to efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
• Handle incoming telephone calls and ensure queries are redirected appropriately
• Manage and organize all paperwork, ensuring it is accurately completed and filed
• Act as a liaison with mortgage companies, maintaining open and detail-oriented communication
• Welcome and guide visitors, providing a hospitable and informative experience
• Perform word processing tasks and send faxes as required for business operations
• Contribute to various projects, providing support to other team members as needed
• Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to perform tasks and manage data
• Conduct internet research to support various tasks and projects
• Maintain a high level of written, verbal, and social communication throughout all tasks
• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as an office assistant or in another relevant administrative role
• Working knowledge of office equipment such as printers and fax machines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Ability to work well under limited supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
