Robert Half is seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper on behalf of a remote startup company. The ideal candidate must have proficiency in QuickBooks Online and be available to start immediately. This role requires approximately 10 hours per week to start, transitioning to 5 hours per week as financial systems are established.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconcile accounts and maintain checks and balances for invoices and transactions.

Process and track expense reports, reimbursements, and approvals for company activities.

Build and align charts of accounts to support accurate and detailed reporting.

Generate and maintain financial reports, including budget vs. actuals, P& L statements, and year-to-date summaries.

Process financial transactions, including setting up accounts for vendors and managing company credit/debit cards.

Support the introduction of subscription-based financial models, ensuring seamless integration with current systems.

Implement and enforce internal SOPs, such as proof-of-payment documentation and expense filing procedures.

Collaborate with the leadership team to onboard new financial tools and systems.

Prepare the company for scalable growth by constructing solid financial infrastructure.

Perform other related bookkeeping duties as required.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, ideally supporting small businesses or startups.

Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required) and Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS).

Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify financial reports and concepts for non-financial stakeholders.

Understanding of financial infrastructure and system development, particularly for early-stage companies.

Experience managing accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R).

Proactive problem-solving skills, coupled with exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a part-time, remote environment.

Availability to work during Eastern or Central time zones is required.
