Key Responsibilities:
• Process payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits
• Verify and reconcile payroll data, including timekeeping records and employee information
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
• Handle payroll tax reporting, garnishments, and other deductions
• Maintain and update employee records related to payroll
• Address employee questions and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely manner
• Assist with year-end payroll tasks, including tax forms (e.g., W-2, 1099) and audits
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in payroll operations
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and strong Excel skills
• Solid knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
