We are offering a long-term contract opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Seattle, Washington. This role involves working in the finance industry, with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end close processes.
Responsibilities:
• Managing the General Ledger
• Assisting with financial catch-up for specific months
• Performing bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Preparing basic journal entries, including prepaid entries and tracking by fund and entity codes
• Handling revenue from private donations matched by state funds
• Managing a low volume of invoices to vendors on a daily basis
• Utilizing financial software such as NetSuite and Oracle
• Processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Supporting fiscal year-end activities after June 30th.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Profound knowledge of General Ledger maintenance
• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Familiarity with NetSuite software for accounting purposes
