We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Hayward, California. The role involves working in the property management sector of the non-profit industry. The workplace will require a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate processing of customer credit applications
• Maintaining precise customer credit records
• Resolving customer inquiries effectively
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions
• Assisting with bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
• Working closely with the team in closing financials
• Handling daily invoices for predevelopment properties
• Collaborating with developers and project managers in compiling and submitting pre-development draws
• Gaining expertise in invoice processing, month-end close, and construction draws
• Utilizing accounting systems like Yardi and popular spreadsheet software for performing tasks.
• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards
• Extensive knowledge and experience with general ledger management, maintaining the integrity of financial data
• Ability to prepare and post journal entries, reflecting business transactions accurately in the accounting system
• Demonstrated experience in executing month-end close processes, including reconciliations, report preparation and analysis
• Familiarity with Yardi or Yardi Software, exhibiting the ability to navigate and utilize its features effectively
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and other advanced functions, for efficient data analysis and reporting.
