Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
• Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met and entries comply with accounting principles.
• Support Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in creating annual budgets and financial forecasts, performing variance analysis and providing actionable insights to leadership.
• Leverage Yardi Expertise: Utilize advanced knowledge of Yardi software to manage financial data, streamline processes, and ensure report accuracy and system optimization.
• Audit Support: Prepare schedules, documentation, and reports for external and internal audits, addressing audit inquiries thoroughly and promptly.
• Policy Compliance and Process Improvement: Maintain compliance with GAAP, ensure adherence to internal controls, and identify opportunities for enhancing accounting policies, procedures, and financial systems.
• Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with property management, accounting, and finance teams, providing support and insights to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or progress toward certification preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with hands-on expertise in Yardi software. Experience in real estate or property management accounting is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Yardi software; strong Excel skills required (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas); familiarity with other ERP systems is a plus.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to liaise across departments and build relationships.
• Detail-Oriented: High attention to accuracy and detail in financial data and reporting.
