Robert Half is looking for a Site Reliability / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in San Francisco, California. This role is centered on ensuring the smooth operation of large-scale, multi-region systems within our team. You will be engaging with AWS and other cloud infrastructures, utilizing your experience with container schedules and runtimes such as Docker and Kubernetes.
This is a 6-month contract to hire, hybrid role in San Francisco.

- 4-8 years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer (E.g., Backend Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps, Production Engineer, Platform Engineer)
- Experience designing and operating large-scale, multi-region production systems
- Experience working with AWS or other cloud infrastructures
- Experience with container schedules and runtimes such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience building deployment pipelines leveraging common CI/CD tools (e.g. Argo, Flux, Gitops)
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi, Chef, Puppet, etc)
- Experience with networking and configuring / managing VPC networks
- The cross-functional nature of this role requires strong communication and collaborations kills
- (Preferred) Experience with running production services on bare metal
- (Preferred) Experience with Typescript and Python
- (Preferred) Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana and Datadog
- (Preferred) Excellent understanding of web applications and architecture
