    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage an active caseload of employment litigation matters, including wage-and-hour class actions, PAGA claims, and discrimination cases.
    • Draft and argue substantive motions, such as motions for summary judgment, motions to compel arbitration, and discovery-related motions.
    • Conduct discovery, including taking and defending depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and employer representatives.
    • Develop case strategies in alignment with California’s evolving employment laws and client objectives.
    • Prepare for trial, including drafting trial briefs, jury instructions, and pre-trial motions.
    • Engage in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations to resolve disputes effectively.
    • Stay up to date on California labor and employment law trends, including PAGA developments, wage-and-hour compliance, and arbitration enforcement.

    Qualifications

    • J.D. from an accredited law school and active California State Bar membership.
    • 3-6 years of employment litigation experience, with exposure to class actions, PAGA claims, and single-plaintiff FEHA cases.
    • Experience with wage-and-hour litigation and PAGA enforcement is highly preferred.
    • Strong oral advocacy skills and prior experience conducting depositions and handling court appearances.
    • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced litigation environment.
    • Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw/LexisNexis) and case management software.
