- Proactively monitor and assess the company’s adherence to key consumer protection laws and regulations, including but not limited to regulations from the CFPB, FDIC, and other relevant bodies.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify potential operational, regulatory, and reputational risks, and propose actionable solutions to mitigate them.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Risk Management, and Product teams, to embed compliance best practices into the company’s products and services.
- Monitor credit card regulatory compliance with TILA, ECOA, FCRA, and Regulation Z while reviewing transaction alerts and escalating appropriately.
- Carry out internal audits and reviews to evaluate the organization’s compliance performance and effectiveness.
- Collaborate on reporting and recordkeeping to meet regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Provide education and training to internal stakeholders on compliance requirements and ethics standards.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in a Compliance Analyst (or similar) role, preferably within the FinTech industry.
- Deep understanding of consumer protection regulations, including experience implementing and managing compliance programs.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret risk assessments within a financial or regulatory context.
- Familiarity with FinTech-specific challenges, including digital payments, consumer data protections, and evolving regulatory landscapes.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulations into clear internal guidelines.
- Preferred/Nice-to-Have:
- Experience working with Mode Analytics for reporting, data visualization, and compliance tracking.
- Knowledge of or hands-on experience with Effectiv, particularly in fraud detection and compliance automation processes.
- Compliance-related certifications (e.g., CRCM, CAMS, or similar) are a plus but not required.
