    We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Procurement Specalist in the Non-Profit industry. The position is located in San Diego, California, and operates in a hybrid work environment, with onsite work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and remote work on the remaining weekdays.


    Procurement Management:

    • Facilitate and oversee all procurement activities, including requests for proposals (RFPs), contract negotiations, purchase requests, and contract modifications.
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant laws, including Brown Act requirements.

    Bid & Proposal Coordination:

    • Manage the entire lifecycle of RFPs and bid requests, working closely with the senior procurement specialist to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
    • Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to clarify requirements and expectations.

    Inventory & Support Services Procurement:

    • Source and procure necessary goods and services to support various programs.
    • Ensure all procured items and services are properly recorded in the designated inventory system.

    Contract & Agreement Management:

    • Prepare, track, and manage agreements using Salesforce, ensuring timely execution and notifying management of any delays.
    • Maintain an organized system for monitoring contract status and compliance.

    Financial & Compliance Monitoring:

    • Track expenditures related to purchase orders and service agreements, providing regular updates on spending and budget adherence.

    Project Ownership & Execution:

    • Lead procurement-related projects, ensuring all tasks are completed within scope, on time, and with available resources.
    • Develop and manage project plans, considering dependencies, priorities, and resource allocation.

    Documentation & Process Optimization:

    • Maintain accurate and organized records of procurement activities, agreements, and project documentation.
    • Develop and update procurement templates, process guides, and best practices to streamline operations.

    Cross-Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with relevant departments to establish procurement timelines and ensure all required documentation is prepared and accessible.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align procurement activities with organizational goals.


    • Proficiency in Data Entry, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail

    • Salesforce is ideal but not a must have

    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create, edit, and manage spreadsheets

    • Experience with Microsoft Outlook for scheduling, email management, and task organization

    • Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint for creating impactful presentations

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Word for document creation, editing, and formatting

    • Capability to Schedule Appointments efficiently, ensuring smooth operations and time management

    • Experience with Salesforce Platform, including data management and report generation
