Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting diverse and underserved communities, is looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Case Specialist fluent in Farsi, Dari, and Pashto. This organization plays a vital role in empowering individuals and families by providing essential services, promoting stability, and expanding access to critical resources.
Position Overview
The Case Specialist will be a vital advocate and support system for Farsi, Dari, and Pashto-speaking clients. This role involves assessing client needs, facilitating access to key services, and guiding individuals through complex systems to help them achieve their personal and family objectives. The ideal candidate will possess cultural sensitivity, excellent organizational abilities, and a strong passion for community service.
Key Responsibilities
Client Assistance & Advocacy:
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments and create tailored service plans.
- Offer personalized case management and ongoing support to Farsi, Dari, and Pashto-speaking clients.
- Advocate for clients' access to healthcare, housing, legal assistance, employment, and education services.
Resource Coordination:
- Develop and nurture partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and service providers.
- Facilitate client connections to appropriate resources and assist with application processes.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, service plans, and case progress within the management system.
- Prepare detailed reports for internal monitoring and external compliance.
Cultural Competency:
- Leverage language skills in Farsi, Dari, and Pashto to ensure clear, respectful communication.
- Provide culturally responsive education on available services and client rights.
Outreach & Community Engagement:
- Participate in outreach initiatives to promote awareness of the organization’s services.
- Lead workshops or informational sessions for Farsi, Dari, and Pashto-speaking communities.
Qualifications
- Language Skills:
- Fluency in Farsi, Dari, and Pashto (spoken and written) is required.
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in case management, client advocacy, or a related field, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to navigate sensitive cultural contexts with empathy and respect.
