    We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in San Diego, California. The role involves supporting the finance department in a project to track grant funding, with tasks that include handling full-cycle accounts payable and processing a high volume of invoices monthly.

    Responsibilities
    • Efficiently manage the full cycle of accounts payable
    • Process a large volume of invoices on a monthly basis
    • Execute check runs every month
    • Utilize Financial Edge and proprietary systems, with training provided
    • Maintain a detail-oriented approach to all tasks
    • Proactively seek additional work when current tasks are completed
    • Stay focused on tasks without personal distractions, such as phone use
    • Ensure reliability and commitment to the role's office hours from 8AM to 5PM.
    • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role

    • Proficiency in using Accounts Payable (AP) software

    • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles

    • Demonstrated ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records

    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

    • Proficient data entry skills

    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Relevant certification in Accounting or Finance is a plus
