We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Cost & Inventory Manager based in East Windsor, New Jersey. The focus of this role is to manage and reconcile inventory, contribute to the month-end closing process, perform variance analysis and reporting, and oversee cost of goods sold (COGS) within our industry.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the reconciliation of all inventory
• Contribute significantly to the month-end closing process
• Perform in-depth variance analysis as part of the routine job functions
• Generate and present reports related to inventory and cost management
• Manage the calculation and analysis of COGS
• Use cost accounting skills to enhance financial decision-making processes
• Ensure all financial data related to inventory and costs are accurately recorded and maintained.
• Demonstrated experience in a managerial role within the cost and inventory sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field is required.
• Exceptional knowledge of cost accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate a team.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
