We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper in the Plainfield, New Jersey area. This role involves maintaining and updating financial records for our organization, managing daily financial transactions, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
• Maintain precise customer credit records
• Manage daily financial transactions to ensure accuracy
• Comply with relevant laws and regulations in all financial transactions
• Record financial transactions in a systematic manner
• Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure smooth financial operations
• Reconcile bank statements to ensure financial accuracy
• Prepare financial reports to aid in the organization's financial decision-making process
• Support the overall financial health of the organization through proficient bookkeeping
• Use Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and other relevant tools for data entry and bookkeeping tasks.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) to manage outgoing payments and invoices.
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) for tracking and collecting owed payments.
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations to confirm the company's financial records match the bank's records.
• Solid understanding and experience of general Bookkeeping practices.
• Proficiency in Data Entry to accurately record financial transactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data organization and financial calculations.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Experience in Payroll processing and management.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing and recording financial transactions.
