    As an Accounting Clerk your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Accurately process a broad range of financial transactions such as payments, reimbursements, and invoices


    • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial assistance packets through verification and reconciliation


    • Prepare checks for disbursement, adhering strictly to internal controls and obtaining proper authorizations


    • Maintain meticulous financial records in databases and accounting systems


    • Organize and file financial documents, ensuring they're easily retrievable for audit purposes


    • Monitor and update records related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll


    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports for program tracking and compliance


    • Ensure all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled


    • Support the month-end and year-end financial closing processes


    • Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and sensitive financial data


    • Adhere to organizational policies, financial regulations, and ethical standards


    • Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifying records


    • Respond to inquiries from staff and vendors regarding financial matters


    • Assist with the distribution of mail and other clerical tasks as necessary.

    The ideal Accounting Clerk candidate will have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred


    • Prior experience in an accounting clerk role is a plus.


    • Proficiency in account reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records


    • Experience with accounts payable (AP) to manage outgoing bills and invoices


    • Knowledge of accounts receivable (AR) to handle incoming payments


    • Familiarity with billing procedures to ensure prompt and accurate invoicing


    • Proficient in data entry, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in recording transactions


    • Experience in invoice processing, including verifying, classifying, and recording invoices


    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting


    • Experience with Oracle financial software for managing accounting tasks


    • Familiarity with QuickBooks for financial management and payroll tasks


    • Knowledge of SAP for enterprise resource planning and finance tasks
