We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Paralegal to join our law firm client in Pasadena, California. As a Paralegal, you will be tasked with managing insurance defense cases, preparing for trials, and handling discovery processes.
Responsibilities:
• Managing legal cases using Case Management Software
• Preparing for trials, including organizing and reviewing discovery materials
• Handling billing functions accurately and efficiently
• Utilizing Adobe Acrobat and iManage for document management
• Conducting discovery processes, including managing discovery requests and responses
• Preparing court briefings using CompuLaw
• Maintaining a detail-oriented calendar and managing appointments and deadlines
• Communicating effectively with clients and team members.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat for document processing and management.
• Experience with Case Management Software for efficient tracking and organization of legal cases.
• Familiarity with CompuLaw for managing deadlines and keeping track of important dates.
• Ability to handle Billing Functions, including time tracking and invoice generation.
• Excellent briefing skills for preparing and presenting concise case summaries.
• Experience with Calendar Management to schedule meetings, deadlines, and court dates.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
• Proficiency in iManage for document and email management.
• Experience in Discovery process, including gathering and organizing information for legal proceedings.
• Ability to manage Discovery Requests, including drafting, reviewing, and responding to requests.
• Experience in preparing Discovery Responses, including organizing, reviewing, and submitting responses.
• Familiarity with e-Discovery tools and processes for electronic data management.
• Experience in Trial Preparation, including compiling exhibits, preparing witnesses, and creating trial binders.
• Experience with Case Management Software for efficient tracking and organization of legal cases.
