Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance to join their leadership team. In this role, you will not only provide high-level financial strategy but also be involved in the day-to-day accounting functions to ensure the smooth operation of the finance department. You will collaborate with leadership and Board members to drive financial planning, ensure compliance, and oversee financial reporting functions. Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Accountability:
- Maintain and foster company culture, demonstrating core values.
- Lead and manage direct reports, holding them accountable.
- Serve as a backup for accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and tax filings.
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop financial strategies that align with company goals.
- Collaborate with leadership and Board to provide strategic recommendations.
- Identify areas for process improvement, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Use technology to improve accuracy and data utility.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes following EOS principles.
- Monitor budget performance and forecast for new service lines and opportunities.
- Collaborate with departments to assess impact on financial strategy.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports.
- Manage operations for accounts payable, receivable, tax compliance, and budget administration.
- Present financial reports to executive leadership and the Board.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and meet all deadlines (taxes, audits, payroll).
- Monitor internal controls and manage financial risks.
Hands-on Accounting:
- Be involved in day-to-day accounting, ensuring smooth operations.
- Oversee monthly closings, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate processing of invoices, payments, and transactions.
SALARY RANGE: $100,000 - $140,000

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of tax compliance, audits, and internal controls.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across teams.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
