We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a part-time Field Technician, located in Omaha, Nebraska. As a Field Technician, you will be providing technical assistance to our team members, handling a variety of devices, and ensuring that all technical issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
This role is part-time, two days per week (either Monday/Friday or Monday/Thursday).
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with various devices including iPads, iPhones, Samsung and other Android phones, and Microsoft computers operating on Windows 10 & 11
• Set up new devices and ensure they are functioning correctly
• Manage and maintain accurate records of all technical issues and the solutions provided
• Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating patience and understanding
• Assist with the installation and troubleshooting of printers
• Work both on-site and off-site, visiting team members' residences to provide technical support
• Utilize skills in various technologies such as Computer Hardware, Dell Technologies, IBM, Linux Technologies, Mac Computers, AB Testing, Active Directory, Apple Devices, Backup Technologies, and Cable Installation to resolve technical issues
• Provide support for Audio and Visual systems, ensuring they are set up correctly and functioning properly.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer hardware, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues.
• Familiarity with Dell and IBM technologies.
• Strong understanding of Linux technologies and Mac computers.
• Experience with AB Testing to ensure optimal system performance.
• Proficiency in using Active Directory.
• Experience with Apple devices, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Knowledge of backup technologies to ensure data safety and integrity.
• Experience with cable installation, ensuring a well-organized and efficient network.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel as required for field work.
