We are offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled Attorney/Lawyer in Omaha, Nebraska, within the legal industry. As an Attorney/Lawyer, you will handle a range of responsibilities including litigation of lawsuits, regulatory guidance, document compliance, risk management, safety compliance, labor relations, and union advisory.
Responsibilities:
• Defend lawsuits in both state and federal courts, handling a wide array of employment-related claims and agency charges.
• Offer advice and counsel to employers on an assortment of state and federal labor and employment laws and regulations.
• Draft and revise policies, handbooks, employment contracts, separation agreements, and other employment-related documents ensuring legal compliance.
• Conduct or aid clients with internal investigations or audits, offering proactive risk management solutions.
• Provide guidance to clients on best practices for adherence to occupational health and safety laws, assist with investigations, and defend safety-related lawsuits.
• Develop lawful strategies and policies for employers who prefer to remain without a union.
• Advise unionized employers on union-related issues, conduct bargaining negotiations, and defend union grievances and arbitrations.
• Must hold a valid license to practice law in the jurisdiction of employment
• Demonstrated experience as a Litigation Attorney is required
• Proficiency in Labor Law and Federal Labor Law is essential
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Employment Law is mandatory
• Must have previous experience in Defense Litigation
• Familiarity with Billing Software for Attorneys is necessary
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide appropriate legal solutions
• Strong research skills, with the ability to understand and interpret laws and regulations
• Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the legal profession.
